Belfast Running Club trains in the south of the city and caters to runners of various abilities across the greater Belfast area.

Club Committee – 2017/18

Our club committee is made up of members who volunteer their time freely to help manage and develop the club. The committee is elected annually by members at the club AGM, with positions co-opted throughout the year when required.

BRC Committee 2017/18


The work of Belfast Running Club is divided into the following areas to help manage the various aspects of the club:

Club Development: Child and vulnerable adult protection; compliance and good governance; Clubmark (bronze; club development plan; manage club Programmes e.g. JogBelfast).

Coaching and Competitions: Develop club coaches; devise training plans/sessions; coach JogBelfast; manage Club Teams; educate coaches and runners.

Funding and Finance: Financial reporting; managing accounts; funding and grants; sponsorships and partnerships; fundraising; registrations.

Marketing: Manage website, Facebook, Twitter and other digital communication platforms; club newsletter; manage media enquiries and PR activities.

Social and Inclusion: Pro-actively ensure club is open to all; welcome and facilitate new members/runners; provide social opportunities for club members; support club members and club programmes; facilitate people who want to meet up and go for runs; organise and facilitate events.
