Training with Belfast Running Club

Introductory Information
  • Training sessions take place on a Tuesday and Thursday evening.  Venues and start times are subject to change throughout the year, so all members are advised to check this website or our club Facebook page regularly for updates.

  • Sessions are restricted to paid-up club members.  Our annual membership fee is set at £40-a-year and covers the period from April to the following March.  We accept new members from April until December.

  • Anyone interested in joining the club is able to try out training sessions for a two-week trial period at a cost of £2 per-session. If you would like to continue training with us after this trial period, you are asked to register as a member.

  • If you cannot run 5km, we would encourage you to try JogBelfast first.

  • Unfortunately, Belfast Running Club does not cater for track and field athletics events, or for junior athletes. The club does not provide water or hold keys, so wear suitable training gear with pockets. For the first few sessions, you should bring a bottle of water to see if you need it.

Social Runs – non coach-led

Belfast Running Club hosts informal social runs on a Monday and Wednesday specifically for BRC members and any potential members availing of the two-week trial period.  These runs are not coach-led so you are advised to listen to the run leader before set-off for details on what the route is. The onus will be on individual participants themselves to follow the route to the end. Anyone taking part can drop off at any time.
