Welcome everyone to event 5 (on 16th May) of the 2026 BRC race series report, the club decided to do a brand new run for the race series and happen to be the newly created Riverside Ballymoney parkrun – https://www.parkrun.org.uk/riversideballymoney/ which was there 4th event.

The riverside ballymoney parkrun is a 2 lap course, mostly flat, a couple of small bridges to run over, some stoney sections to be aware off and be careful on. The parkrun starts a short visible walk from the car park after the toilets and then finishes to the right of the car park. The course has sign posts and several volunteers (which like to thank for there time to be out and volunteering at the parkrun) on the course though member was still able to go the wrong way (too in the zone with head down and not noticing the yellow sign to turn left to finish).. Everyone did finish and had a great day and believe they mostly enjoyed the morning adventure.

Half the members then either drove or walked/run the 15min walk went into ballymoney for coffee/tea & food and had a lovely wee time to chat at the Ground cafe were there were plenty of seats and big size room with us taking over several tables of the top floor.
Like to thank all the members that went to the event and especially to all those that drove to the event and to the pakrun community in ballymoney.
