Well done to all those who ran at the clubs 2026 Aug race event at Divis mountain (was nearly 10k, had to cut short due to path closure but it felt like a 10k), thanks to Davy for going up earlier and doing a path check before hand and seeing the patch closed after the second tower.
Everyone met at the car park and started the race from the gate and ran along and up to the cottage where Davy was marshalling & directed everyone up along the Ridge trail. The ridge trail was stoney but nothing compared to what was yet to come, everyone then had to run up the Summit trail, run would have been great but this not a trail for the faint hearted and running all the way up for most was not possible so walking and panting required, though I believe a member did run it (some fit person)..
Then it was a run from the top tower down to the second tower (with some deciding to do a lap round the top tower for good luck).
At bottom of road Davy was waiting for everyone to run back to guide them to run back to the gate…
Were Aaron was waiting for all the runners to finish back at the gate and take note of positions..
