Belfast City Half Marathon 2025 – Race Report
The biggest half marathon event in Northern Ireland once again lived up to its reputation, with this year’s Belfast City Half selling out well in advance. Starting and finishing on the Ormeau Embankment, the route took runners through the south, east and west of the city, with fantastic support all along the way.
Conditions on the day were ideal, cool, dry and calm, making for some excellent running. Belfast Running Club was out in force, with a strong turnout and great performances right through the field.

First home for BRC was Chris Murphy, followed by David Hynes, Simon Herron, Fabrice Scoupe, Paul Corthorn, Mark Rocks, Davy Hanna, Adam Fullerton-Healey, Shaun Henry, Aoibhin Carlisle, Nicola Dooher, Lynne Mounstephen, David McBride, Barra Shields, Eamon Rafferty, Olivia Pickup and Orla Muldoon completing a fine team showing.

There was also local success at the sharp end, with new mum and former BRC member Dearbhla Cox of Annadale Striders taking an impressive win in the women’s race, a brilliant achievement.
Well done to all our runners, supporters and the race volunteers for another great day. Belfast Running Club did themselves proud once again.
