Welcome to BRC 2026 race series 6 race report, today we will be reviewing the Fairhill Ballymena 5 miler on 4th June and the Connswater 5 miler on the 5th June.
Fairhill Ballymena 5 miler
On 4th June the following members of the club, Grainne, Mark, Davy, Tommy and Paul drove to Ballymena in the evening for the 7pm run to do 5 miles.

Due to weather the nights before the course was changed due to flooding on the course but the change made it feel like a better course and hopefully they keep it in future years. It’s a course that runs from the fairhill shopping centre to across the road into streets with bumps and out to the roads and over to the ECOS parkrun which you only do a part of the parkrun and then do that part twice. It is mostly flat of which after you do bits of the parkrun a second time you then run out to the road and run a gradual incline that goes on for a bit (but not the crazy hill in previous times) and then back down and then you run into the Ballymena showgrounds and run round half the gravel track. Thankfully didn’t rain till after members finished but had to leg it into the building were Ballymena runners and community put on an amazing spread with so much food and drinks of which there was plenty left when members left to walk 5mins back to the shopping centre to get there cars.

Like to thank members of the club who turned up to support members even though they seemed to have other priorities for going as you see.

Connswater 5 miler
On Friday 5th June, several members ran from C.S Lewis in connswater out to Victoria Park, this run is a slow start and caution/confined space out to Victoria Park and then back. Its a flat course with some very fast paced run once got out to Victoria Park and people get to spread out and have the room to run and run outside dirt path and then come into the inside section of the park and run around the football pitches and across the pitches and then run back to C.S Lewis

Well done to all the runners and spectators and organisers of the runs.
You all did brilliantly and well done.
